By building “Win-Win” trusted long-term relationships, you will seek out and maximise the sales opportunities in new and emerging areas of growth. You will build strong relationships with our existing customers and distributors, gaining further sales of new products and services to support their technical needs and commercial plans.

Responsible for ensuring our ambitious sales and profit targets are achieved, simply put- we aim to be an innovative leader in the composite industry. Can you make that happen?

Responsibilities

  • Actively pursue and develop a pipeline of new opportunities for sales by identifying and developing new B2B markets for CI products and services.

  • Build strong partnerships and provide support for existing CI Customers and distributors, gaining further sales of new products and services that supports their technical needs and commercial plans.

  • Build professional client relationships with all external parties. Visit new and existing customers to build and maintain relationships and encourage future sales.

  • Manage the full sales lifecycle (end to end) including enquiries, quotes, negotiation, and closing of sales. Ensuring all sales achieve profit targets.

  • Shape and develop the Business Development team to continuously seek and capture new opportunities for CI and maintain strong “Win-Win” trusted relationships with existing clients and distributors. 

  • Develop, manage and utilise a marketing strategy using internal and external resources as appropriate within agreed budgets.

  • Ensure distributors and clients have up to date product knowledge to enable them to perform with confidence.

  • Plan, manage and represent CI at exhibitions, trade shows and product/equipment demonstrations.

  • Lead a productive Business Development team that’s focused on sales targets and customer satisfaction achieving a “Win-Win” outcome. 

  • Maintain our CRM system and Website.

  • Monitor competitor activity, keep up to date with current and emerging sector trends, gathering and feeding back market intelligence.

  • Contribute to the company business strategy.

  • Report on agreed KPI’s on a monthly basis.

 

Person Specification

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

  • Two years’ previous experience of B2B “Business development” and sales solutions in manufacturing sector.

  • Extensive knowledge of the manufacturing sector (preferably Composites and CI Products)

  • Background in engineering or a technical sales environment (Desirable);

  • Proficient in Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, outlook) and experience of CRM databases.

  • Good level of English and Maths.

  • A second language would be an advantage (Desirable).

Working from our office in Saltash, Cornwall, when required, you are happy to travel (Inc internationally) meeting new and existing clients, developing relationships, whilst identifying market opportunities for continued growth.

  • Confident and self-motivated, happy to take the initiative with energy and drive the momentum.

  • A positive attitude with strong negotiation and persuasion skills.

  • Results focused, resilient and persistent and with a passion for closing sales orders.

  • Confident managing your own and your team’s workload, time and budgets to meet the company’s sales targets.

  • Personable with excellent communication skills whether face to face, presenting, holding briefings or meetings or any format of electronic communication.

  • Able to work flexibly, collaboratively or independently as required, to take the initiative and with confident decision-making abilities. 

  • Strong desire for lifelong learning to continually broaden and improve personal capability.

  • Ability to manage multiple complexity projects at any given time.

KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Full Driving licence and valid passport.

  • Prepared to travel.
